For the past two years, the Erasmus+ Teaching with Objects project has aimed to encourage and support innovative approaches to object-based learning in higher education. More specifically, its main objective is to collect, evaluate and share methods and tools for teaching using objects from university museums and collections.
Led by six European partners and in close collaboration with members of the Universeum network, the project aims to build a platform for sharing innovative tools and methods, and to establish a sustainable network of practices encouraging teaching with objects from museums and university collections.
As coordinator, the Jardin des sciences is organizing an event in November 19 and 20 in Strasbourg, to promote the project’s results, for professionals (teaching, conservation, education) and students from all disciplines interested in the subject. The event will provide an opportunity:
– to disseminate the report resulting from the first Europe-wide research project on the subject.
– to present the online platform, and generate further contributions.
– to test and evaluate different approaches in practical workshops.
