After the release of two more reports dedicated to museums, museum professional and Covid-19, the third report is now available.
The third ICOM global survey was open from 15 April to 29 May 2021, more than a year after the start of the pandemic. The aim was to analyse the transition to digital activities due to museum closures and other key developments in the museum sector.
The museum sector is a scenario which is certainly still in crisis, but which is also increasingly being described as “the new normal”.
The Report presents the trends of responses over time, rather than focusing on regional comparisons, to show how the situation has evolved over these past months. The figures represented aggregated results, for this reason is important bearing in mind the profound differences between the museums of the world.
